A Note From the Coach

This is an interesting time to be in the home business world.

I have quit paying attention to the media as there is simply too much doom & gloom, negativity and depressing information that I can't do anything about.

That doesn't mean that I don't care or don't want to be informed. I am simply choosing not to fill my mind with negativity.

When you believe in abundance, you know that there is more than enough of everything available to you.

It is a true test of what you really believe when circumstances appear to not quite be optimal for what you want.

As my friend Kim George says: "What is meant for you cannot be lost."

Stay focused, keep your eye on your prize, and trust the process.

Be Your True Self

All too often women business owners express that they are living like two different people.

They are recognizing their power within and are rapidly growing in the wonderful new world they have discovered.

Do you know that feeling? When you start to learn the concepts and philosophies in the world of the entrepreneur, and you have that epiphany that you are doing this!

Although it may feel like you are changing and growing, what is really happening is that you are connecting with the greatness and power that is already within you, and you are simply stepping into being it.

Essentially, you are discovering your true self.

It is a wonderful experience. You are living life in a whole new dimension and you can’t get enough of the new you.

Are you able to be this awesome person that you are at home?

Too many women find themselves shifting gears and striving to be like the person they were while at home.

Unfortunately, many partners react adversely to her new found greatness and they make a concerted effort to keep things the way they were.

Although it may feel like there is status quo in the home, it is the beginning of a decay.

Have you ever felt like there was so much you wanted to be able to say but chose not to as you knew the conversation wasn’t going to get anywhere?

Do you acquiesce and just be in ‘whatever’ mode so as to not rock the boat and get through an evening without anyone getting upset?

As time goes on, it can become more of a burden for you as you are now being two people. You are continuing to grow in your power on one side and you be the old person you were on the other.

You are now out of alignment with who you truly are. If you feel alive, energized and empowered when you are being the true you and feel a markedly lower energy in your other role, you know what I mean.

And, if you’re increasingly unhappy not being the real you, then you may be heading for some problems.

My friend and coach, Kassandra Vaughn, recently shared some enlightenment with me.

You are always choosing. If you are being a different person around your home, than the real you, then you are choosing to do so.

As Kassandra shares in her great ‘Choose You’ series, it is all about you choosing you.

This isn’t about you taking a stand and forcing conflict. It’s simply about you choosing to be fully who you are and not anything less.

When you are being your true self, you are more in alignment with what really matters to you and you are putting yourself in your best energy.

What do you do if your other half does not care for the true you and reacts adversely to it?

You must realize that is about them – it is not about you. You simply must be living the most fulfilling life possible as the true you. Settling for anything less is not going to be authentic for you and is not the key to a fulfilling relationship.

If your energy does get impacted by the space your other half is in, then it is imperative that you do whatever you need to protect your space and stay in the energy that supports you the most.

Granted, it may be easier to say than to do, but what are your options?

Are you willing to continue living a life where you are out of alignment? Or do you want to live as your true self, fully in your authenticity and your power?

It is your choice.
